My father has an old doctor/sailor friend who, after seeing Dad lashing in 3+ teaspoons of sugar into his tea, would constantly remind him that sugar was “the white death”. Michael doesn’t follow a keto or slow-carb diet as far as I know, but he knew what he was talking about after years of treating patients visiting his practice.
I recently watched a documentary called “Sugar Crash” which highlights the addictive elements of sugar and other simple carbohydrates. I 100% recommend it to get an insight into the health and obesity problems facing western countries and increasingly also developing countries across Latin America and South-East Asia.
Enjoy and thanks for reading x
